A 31-year-old man named Majorjon Kaylor appeared in Shoshone County Magistrate Court, donning an orange jail jumpsuit, for his alleged involvement in a tragic incident that took the lives of an Idaho family, according to the Spokesman-Review.

The victims, with whom Kaylor shared a duplex, were brutally slain in what appears to be an execution-style manner.

The victims have been identified as Kenneth Guardipee, aged 65; his daughter, Kenna Guardipee, aged 41; and her sons, Devin Smith, aged 18, and Aiken Smith, aged 16.

The incident unfolded when authorities received reports of gunshots fired at a duplex located at 515 W. Brown Ave around 7:20 p.m. on Sunday.

Shortly after the initial call, a second report indicated that someone had tragically "executed his neighbors," as stated in court documents.

Police Identify the Motive for the Idaho Murder

New information emerged surrounding the case involving Majorjon Kaylor last week. According to his wife's now-private Facebook page, she made a post alleging that Devin Smith had exposed himself to her daughters while they were playing outside, KXLY noted.

The post stated that Kaylor had confronted the Guardipee family about the incident, and she had reported it to the police.

Kaylor's brother initiated a GoFundMe campaign in response to the situation, highlighting that the family had suffered a devastating loss due to a "tragic life event."

The Prosecutor's Office indicated that the Kaylors were frustrated and concerned about the lack of action against Smith.

When Kaylor was arrested, he confessed to the police that the Guardipee family did not take his concerns seriously, so he "snapped," "lost it," and took matters into his own hands.

According to the court documents, Kaylor pulled out a gun during an argument and shot the Guardipees in the head. He then proceeded to enter the residence and kill the two sons.

Suspect Confessed to Idaho Murder During Police Interview

In addition to the murder charges, Majorjon Kaylor also faces a felony burglary charge for unlawfully entering the residence of the Guardipee family, per East Idaho News.

During his court appearance, Kaylor acknowledged the five charges read to him by Shoshone County Municipal Court Judge Keisha Oxendine.

Prosecutor Benjamin Allen revealed that Kaylor had confessed to the shooting during his police interview.

"Admissions were ultimately made to the offenses charged," Allen stated.

Furthermore, a witness reportedly observed Kaylor killing at least two family members, though specific details about the incident were not provided. The killings, however, were carried out horrifically.

Regarding Kaylor's background, it was mentioned that he has a limited criminal history, consisting of a few misdemeanor driving infractions and a single drug possession case that was reduced to a misdemeanor charge.

Kaylor is employed at a local mine and is married. His public defender mentioned that he has lived in Shoshone County and has a non-violent criminal history. Arguments concerning his bond were deferred.

Judge Oxendine remanded Kaylor into custody without bail, and deputies escorted him across the street to the Shoshone County Jail amidst the rain.

Kaylor's preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 3 at 1:30 p.m.
